Shakira y Bad Bunny

A pesar de la ausencia de Billie Eilish en los American Music Awards (AMAs), el lunes 26 de mayo, la cantante estadounidense fue la máxima ganadora de la noche luego de obtener los siete premios en los que estaba nominada.

La intérprete de 'Lovely' fue merecedora de galardones como artista del año, álbum del año y canción de año. Otras de las cantantes que sobresalieron durante la gala fue Beyoncé, quien recibió dos AMAs como artista femenina country y álbum country favorito.

Kendrick Lamar también recibió un AMA a la canción favorita de hip-hop por 'Not Like Us', y SZA, por su parte, se llevó dos premios a la canción favorita de R&B y a la artista femenina favorita de R&B.

Janet Jackson recibió el premio Ícono 2025 y realizó su primera actuación televisiva en siete años, interpretando canciones como 'Someone to Call My Lover' y 'All for You'. “Mi familia y yo nunca soñamos con ser famosos. No nos criaron así. Siempre tuvimos un amor especial por la música, el baile y el canto, y la fama llegó con trabajo duro y dedicación”, dijo Jackson al aceptar su premio.

“Mi historia, la historia de mi familia, es verdaderamente una historia estadounidense. Esto solo habría sucedido en Estados Unidos”, agregó el artista.
